September 22 – September 30 2018, Studio Continuo
Mysteries
In 2018 Linderholm moved to an abandoned mining town in the Swedish forests, where he set up a studio. The paintings he created there were presented to the public in the fall of 2018 during his solo exhibition Mysteries in Amsterdam, organized by Studio Continuo (a pop-up studio of Arthur Steiner and Melchior Jaspers).
He painted subjective portraits of a forgotten village, situated in nature between hills and lakes, inspired by pleinairism. In this way, he could satisfy his desire to delve deeper into the surface through a profound, direct experience – a key motivation for Linderholm as a painter.
